Nineties Child

I've been on a nineties kick lately. I re-discovered some of my old diaries from when I was a teenager living in Bountiful, Utah, USA. I'm basically fictionalising my teen life now, starting with the very short story Jude. 

The last book I released had a very long title, because it actually happened to me, back when I was a teenager. So I'm going with this long-title theme with my next Young Adult publication, as well. I'll reveal the title now, but not the cover just yet.

So here it is:

Title: HE SUCKED MY TOES AT A HOUSE PARTY

Subtitle: And Then Aliens Attacked!

The first bit did happen to me at a house party when I was like 16 years old, the subtitle bit? Well, all of it is fiction. Or is it? lol

I do love writing teen space adventures. And there will be a tie-in with my new book. The meow-lick character from Superstellar comes from the next story I'm releasing soon!

Featured on my blog today is a charming little story of the origins of this book from author Cathleen Townsend. Enjoy... Dragon Hoard and Other Tales of Faerie came out of a desire for more fairy tales that felt true to the spirit of the original stories I’d read as a child. We were poor when I was young, and any book given to me was a treasure. One day, when my parents were visiting friends, the kind hostess noticed me sitting quietly in the corner with nothing to do, and she gave me a marvelous book. It was old, published in the Forties.
