Creativity Pack

I have a creativity pack to take around with me to places like libraries and such. So my girls have one each too. In my pack  is my MacBook Pro for novel writing, a lined notebook for writing by hand, a blank page sketchbook for art, pencils, paint pens, my phone, plugs and cords.

My 12 year old daughter's creativity pack is basically the same as mine. My 5 year old daughter's creativity pack is adjusted for her age. A blank page notebook for drawing, her kid's tablet, a lined page notebook for practising her spelling, coloured pencils, books, small toys, etc.

I also have an elder daughter who is an art school graduate. She always has lots of creative equipment everywhere she goes! Even when off to work at an arts and hand crafted jewellery boutique.

Guess I really scored only having girls. And creative clever girls to boot!

Although, it's dangerous going into shops like Paperchase. ££££££££££


At home we have a lot more art stuff. Can never have enough and really want a studio soon!

Featured on my blog today is a charming little story of the origins of this book from author Cathleen Townsend. Enjoy... Dragon Hoard and Other Tales of Faerie came out of a desire for more fairy tales that felt true to the spirit of the original stories I’d read as a child. We were poor when I was young, and any book given to me was a treasure. One day, when my parents were visiting friends, the kind hostess noticed me sitting quietly in the corner with nothing to do, and she gave me a marvelous book. It was old, published in the Forties. The binding was fragile, but it had over a thousand pages, printed on thin paper with double columns like a Bible.
